Miss Dee actually won a blue ribbon with this recipe in a citywide competition in Jacksonville.
Cinnamon Sour Cream Coffee Cake
1 stick oleo (margarine) softened 1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar 1 tsp baking soda
1 cup sour cream 1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs 1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups all purpose flour 1/4 cup sugar
Cream together the oleo and 1 cup sugar then add in the sour cream. Beat well by hand (do not use a mixer). Add eggs and beat well. Stir in flour sifted with the baking powder and soda. Add the vanilla and beat again. Grease and flour a 9"X5" loaf pan. Spoon 1/2 the batter into the pan. Combine the 1 tsp cinnamon with the 1/4 cup sugar and sprinkle half the mixture over the batter. Spoon on the remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture. Marble through the batter in a figure 8 with a table knife. Bake at 350 degrees F for 55 minutes or until a pic comes out clean. Serve with a cup of coffee.
Note: Do not leave your windows open while baking this. It has a wonderful aroma and you neighbors will "just drop in" for a visit.

A neighbor brought by a small coffee cake this weekend.
I wonder if this above recipe may be worth a try.
I may try it.
