Title: Introduction (Nami)
Post by: Nami_ on June 28, 2016, 12:59:50 PM
Hi my name is Nami

Im a computer science student in the England.

I realised I could take it anymore and I had to be me when i was 15, sadly this is still in progress
Im pre transition due to the fact my mum wants me to see a doctor first, my doctor is what i call a bad doctor Ive been going to see her every month since i was 17 to tell her to refer me she constantly tells me ill chase it up but never does.

Im not 20 and i just cant do it anymore

practically all my friends know and are accepting about it, my family are beginning to clock on that something just isnt right with me.

I decided I dont feel comfortable going full time until ive been on hormones for a few months, this has led me to self medicating which I informed my nurse about and she is going to do monthly tests which is good

Still waiting on that referral though

im here mainly for transition advice and to hopefully make friends who are going through the same thing

I welcome any advise and support from other members

hope to hear from you soon

Nami

Hi Nami, and welcome. Sorry to hear your GP does not appear to be supportive, have you tried seeing a different GP, I and others have had a wide variety of experiences from GPs from terrible to highly supportive, it's a bit of a lottery

Welcome to Susan's Place. Navigating the medical system in your country is something I am not experienced with but there are a number of people from your country on the site who have had experience with it and will be able to advise you. HRT isn't magic and most of us require makeup hair and other tricks to pass. You will find that this site is a good source for almost any information you may require. Let us know if there is anything we can help you with.

We issue to all new members the following links so you will best be able to use the web site.

thanks for the warm welcome

i already pass as a woman without even trying
i look pretty much the same as my mum which i guess is great

and the reason i havent tried another gp is because the surgerys within 40 miles of where i live are all full so i cant even register at a different one

nami is my online name but when i go full time my real name will be naomi
