I am Jennifer and finally have started my journey on HRT with Drs approval.
Finally I have got to the point where I am understanding or shall I say admitting to myself that some things have to change especially as I am in my late 50s and time is flying by.
Living in Adelaide doesn't make it easy as it is a relatively small town and everybody knows everybody good at times and potentially disastrous in my situation.
Why am I here?
Good question. I would love to get to know other girls like me locally to exchange experiences and help, support each other. As I am still in my early stages of my journey I am still dressing in my ugly male mode but when ever I get a chance I just love to be me and dress accordingly.
It would be so nice to be with others who are understanding and also want to make new friends.
Lots of hugs :)

Hi Jennifer,
Welcome! It's great that you have come on the forum which is a very good resource and a place to 'meet' others who share a journey. I hope you find this place as helpful as I have. It's good just to know there are other girls alongside :)

Congratulations on starting HRT. There are several Aussie members on Susan's. Good luck on your journey.

Another Adelaide Girl here, I am in my 50's as well so I can understand how you are feeling. Adelaide has a fair amount going on but it can take awhile to find the right contacts. Have you been to any of the support group meetings? I am happy to share what I know and congratulations on your decision to post. Have you started HRT? via the Gender Dysphoria Clinic?
Anyway post away there are a few here from Aus and a couple of us from Adelaide(I think), love to catch up for coffee.
