Hey y'all,
I'm long time lurking non member to the site. It's been a pretty fantastic source of information for me over the years as I've slowly worked up the courage to make some positive changes in my life. So I thought it high time I get involved with the community and and contribute some. :)
I'm a 28 year old chick from Sydney. I'm about a week away from from kicking of HRT, just got to put a little more DNA on ice. So yeah kinda exciting times.
What makes my life peachy? A wonderful supportive partner who's stuck by me through thick and thin. Books so many books, new ->-bleeped-<-, 20thC classics, stuff by long dead white guys that kinda fostered a screwed up patriarchy, I like it all; Douglas Adams has been really doing right by me lately. What else... Ohhhh good single malt scotch, Balvenie or a nice Isley malt tickle me right. And a good vino something red from South Australia and I'm happy girl.
So that's me; a bit of a bogan - in a hip ironic way, with a taste for books and booze.
Looking forward to getting to know some cool people on these forums.
Till then...
Cheers
Emma

Emma,
Welcome to the site. Looks like you have a firm hold on the direction you are going. That is great.
You will find (if you had not noticed) there is a pretty good sized representation of Australian members.
Love books and scotch, myself. Adams just makes me giggle.
I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:
For example, I am editing your first post a touch, due to Terms of Service # 11:
Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.
With warmth,
Joanna
