Title: Breast shape
Post by: naa on August 02, 2016, 11:53:33 AM
I've been on Estrogen for two months.  I started to notice growth after three weeks, and they're still growing, slowly but steadily.

It's early days, but I'm slightly concerned that most of the growth, seems to be close to the nipple, so they're starting to look a bit pointy.  I've heard trans women are at risk of growing conical boobs.  Is that what I'm on course for?  Or did some of you start with growth mostly around the nipples, and later the rest of the breast filled out?

Any personal experiences of early vs late shape would be helpful.

That is very typical. Growth starts around the nipples and the tissues further out take shape later. (With CIS Women also) Mine became more round starting in about month 12.

There is so debate as to whether complete development and optimal shape can happen on estrogen alone or whether you need to also be taking progesterone. There are a lot of threads here on that but your doc is the best place to go with that question.

Mine grew naturally that way. So did my sisters, so I assumed it was normal.

What is wrong with conical breasts and pointy nipples anyhow?

If you're happy with it then nothing is wrong with it, but for me it's not my ideal.  If it happens, it happens, I'll be a bit disappointed, but it's not the end of the world, at least I still have boobs.  But it's not what I'd pick if given the choice.

I would stop being concerned after only 2 months and enjoy your new best friends. I love mine whatever shape they are...

Mine grew to have a perfectly normal shape. If you are worried they might not develop the way you want, a good support bra might help. I know I'd never want mine to sag like what you see in a National Geographic magazine.

Let them grow...let them grow! As long as they girls are growing I am a happy camper.

I never wear a bra unless I am running. I personally see no point as I still present as male so not like I need to get them all perked up. Well for me my breasts took 4 and a half years on HRT to get to stage 4 so just behind a so called perfect shape. Its all in your genetics, age and other random stuff.

But lets put it this way in a bra they all look the same so don't worry they perfect however they come out.

It took a few years but my breasts turned out to take an average normal breast shape
