Here's a comprehensive list of TG-related movies complied by Jaye Kaye . . . She does a GREAT job of keeping it up to date:

Short list of TG-related movies:

There was this person in the UK named Hazel Freeman who had a great tg-movie site as well -- she did short reviews of many of these movies . . . unfortunately her site has been down for a while now. If it is up somewhere else, please kindly let me know.

hmm . . . interesting . . . the lack of very many reads give strength to the argument that perhaps tg people just aren't all that interested in tg films . . . 8)

Hi Alexandra,
Thanks for the link...I had no idea there were so many, shame on me. I think I may need to turn in my movie buff badge. The documantary Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton's Cafeteria looks fantastic. I'd love to get a copy of it.

I could spend all day browsing the list. :icon_grandmar:

I have done just that . . . almost all day anyway. If it makes you feel any better, I had a bit of guilt about my own movie buff badge too, but I decided to keep it anyway! :D

Not to be judgemental (although I probably am being), I looked at the list of those movies (not all of them, I got bored or discouraged) and found that I would never pay to see or even watch them for free.
Most seemed to appeal to things I am not interested in.

you're right, MOST movies, TG-related or otherwise, are lousy and not worth the ticket price or DVD purchase. As with books, music and other things, you've got to look for the gems . . . 8)
ps: everybody, I managed to find Hazel Freeman's new website, its here:

I checked out the new movie "World's Fastest Indian" in the theatre yesterday -- its just "ok", and not a TG movie either, however there was a tg-character that had bit part in the film -- more than just a few lines. I was surprised and didn't expect it. As it turned out, it was a nice part in the film -- the character was human and real -- another surprise -- best part of the movie actually!
So far this last year or so has been good for us at the movies . . . no Jerry Springer characters yet!
