Title: 5 days in.. this feels weird
Post by: Moyshe313 on August 28, 2016, 02:08:34 PM
5 days in and I just feel strange. Not in a bad way. Feel almost high. I feel relaxed and happy. Might be a placebo effect. I can say my dose of Spiro is much higher than what I've read others starting with, maybe that's it. I can say all the BS that has gone along with getting my prescription has been worth it

Could be.  I started feeling something similar about 11 days in.  It seems to slowly become the new normal as we get used to living in the light. I got a similar, more gentle lift when I started a low dose of estradiol via patch.   I still wonder if this is how most most people always feel, rather than the decades of darkness I lived in as my "normal."

Don't knock the Placebo effect  :) ;) What ever will works for ya I say!! :o...I was a Psychiatric nurse for many years and using placebo's was done all the time. The mind is an amazing organ and I have seen placebo's work as well as the real deal in some cases. After 5 days I was feeling the effects, didn't realise then but that was the start of the "quietening" of the noise in my head. It just seemed to take a break or I noticed it less...not sure which. If you are getting positive effects then I would suggest that is a great thing no matter what causes them, the placebo effect or the active medication. It doesn't matter as long as the effect is positive.

Hugs

Liz

It is certainly possible to feel effects after a few days.  Within several days of starting again, i could feel the calm come over me.  It was noticed by my family as well.  Do not really care if it was 'in my head' or a real effect, it felt good!  Roll with it, enjoy it, take note of everything and all feelings...we only go through this once!

What you're feeling is very common and it very commonly persists, in varying degrees, in perpetuity. Have fun!

you read my mind word for word..Took first pill 13 days ago. I haven't been this clear headed for as long can remember. The wife likes it because I don't mind doing chores. Strange indeed.
