Title: Things I say (when I'm not thinking what I'm saying.)
Post by: Asche on September 02, 2016, 11:58:33 AM
I've noticed for a while that sometimes, when I'm thinking about other things, I hear myself saying stuff unrelated to what I'm thinking, and even stuff it would never occur to me to say.

Sometimes I say stuff like, "I should just kill myself," but I've felt that way all my life, so it's nothing new.

But lately I sometimes hear myself saying stuff like, "I'm so glad I'm me."

Weird, huh?

I think you've managed to make something deep inside you very happy recently.

Now, what could you have possibly done that resulted in that? ;)

"It's a good thing!"  Or something like that. :)  I don't think it's weird at all.  Congratulations are in order, actually.

My sign language interpreter and I were commiserating about men in a lobby area one time.  Without realizing it, I said in a low voice, "I sure as hell won't be a man in the next life..."  She laughed out surprised, mouth wide open, and just then, I realized what I did.  We laughed together, like we had the world's biggest funny secret and no one else in the class knew about it.  During break, we went to an isolated area, and we got to talking about my trans state.  I asked her, "What do you think I meant when I said that?"  She asked, "Were you born a man?"  It went from there.
