An Asian lived in the U.S. Had SRS in Thailand on July
Everything went to well expect urethra.
Had lived with catheter 12 days ,Not a good feeling
After catheter been removed able to pee but never smooth .I always need to push extra hard
The issue carry on since i'm home.To make long story short. When i returned home .I still have issue with pee .Didn't do anything till last night unable to pee and the great pain made me no choice but rush to the emergency room.
The doctor could not put on catheter (Not even the urologist ) because they COULD NOT find my urethra! Is almost closed up .The smallest wire didn't get through it.
so there is no other way to go left me had a suprapubic catheter
I stayed in the emergency room all night by myself and i was scared.
I discharged this morning and i have follow up appointment with urologist this Friday
Has any of you going through the same ? what are my options ? Urethra dilation or other surgery ?(Hell. Please don't put me there) Is a major issue ?
I'm hopeless .Anyone can help me .
Send love to your way

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I suspect you had an infection in the ureatha that led to possible narcoses. Or something else, not sure why you had catheter in so long.
I do worry about this myself! I just had my surgery in Thailand 5 days ago. My urethra seems to be working too good. I can't control when to go at times.
I would definetly get in contact with surgeon to see if they know what could be causing this.
Please keep us informed. I hope you can get this cleared up very soon!!!

I have been on this site about a year and 3 months. From the first day my reading list consist of most of what others have posted. In my time here was one other post surgical girl who had the same problem that you have and unfortunately she dropped off so I don't know if the problem was ever resolved. It was being treated by having a doctor dilate her urethra but that was a short term solution that needed to be repeated regularly. The doctor never diagnosed it so I don't know the cause but it happens in the CIS population and the cause is an untreated STD. I suspect it could happen from a post surgical infection that caused scaring. I also suspect the only treatment may be replacement of the section at issue, possibly with a blood vein. This would be similar to the procedure used with FTMs in order to extend their urethra when a penis is constructed except in your case, it would be a replacement for the damaged tissue.
You will need to get a knowledgable doctor to handle this as I didn't find all that much in my googling about the treatment of this condition.

If you wish to have the surgery done in the United State, three things come to mind. A local urologist may have the skill and knowledge to handle it. Many of the the surgeons who work with FTMs may have the skill to handle it and last, I had thoughts of a revision surgery at one time and the name that was suggested to me was Toby Meltzer who is located near me in Arizona. His schedule is normally pretty booked but it's still worth a shot. The decision as always will be up to you.
Before deciding. You should have a camera run up the Urethra to determine the extent of the problem. If the distance is small, the surgery might be simple. If the restriction is long, the surgery becomes more difficult.

Awhile back I posted something similar that I had. I had a two phase surgery and had my first on May 11th and the second was supposed to be much later. It ended up being on June 14th(?) due to something similar happening. My urethra was somewhat infected from not cleaning well enough down there and unfortunately what had happened was it closed up. He had to do a urethraplasty in order to open it up again and have had no problems since.
Someone that I talked to very briefly, ALSO had a similar issue. The only thing is her's was much more difficult and she actually had to dilate her urethra. Yikes!
I hope that you can get this fully taken care of. Talk to your doctors for sure who can investigate the issue and take appropriate actions while they can is most important rather than never discussing possible uncertainties.

@ oneworld this isn't that uncommon, should be in range for any competent urologist.
