Title: Started my HRT and a question

So I have this weird effect, and I was wondering if it was a common one, but about an hour after taking my Spironolactone, I feel hot almost like a slight fever. It only lasts for about an hour and then fades away. I've been taking it for about 4 days, and don't seem to have the issue when I take half the dose. (I know not to put on dosage, but is pill numbers okay?)
Also, when do you start feeling the effects? I don't really feel different, a bit excited, but not really different.

I did not experience being hot. It is listed as a possible side effect. https://www.drugs.com/sfx/spironolactone-side-effects.html
If it keeps up you should probably speak to your Dr about it.

I did have one day of really intense hot flashes about two weeks into spiro. I don't know if it was actually related though.

Could be temporary...it's a hot flash. You may not getting enough E to replace the lost T. Check with doctor. ;)

I went through a week or so of menopausal symptoms when I started HRT this time around. One of the effects was feeling hot and flushed for a little while after my spiro dose. Still would be a good question for your doctor.

I just started, so my E dose is really low. Is it even possible to reduce it that much in just 5 days? Which doctor should I talk to, the Endo, or my primary care DR? I'm going to assume the Endo, and try to reach her.
This I also the only "may cause drowsiness" medicine I have ever taken that actually makes me drowsy.

Check with endo and primary. Your E may be too low. Drink enough water and eat salt if you crave it...very important on Spiro as you lose water/sodium on it.

My E to low? The dose, or in the body? I couldn't imagine it being very high at this point in time.
My previous health issues have me drinking a lot of water, and using almost no salt. Lost almost 50Lbs now, and am still losing. Didn't think that my sodium levels would decrease. Might explain the recent increase in hunger, but I am not craving salt, just food. I have decreased my soda/cola intake from nearly 3 packs of 24 (72 cans)every week, to 0-2 cans a day.
Endo is out today so will have to wait for her to get back to me.

If your sex hormones are too low, in your body, you will get hot flashes.
