Title: OK, So the blood tests are back for my end of cycle... Now what am I reading?
Post by: Harley Quinn on September 18, 2016, 10:18:12 AM
I just recieved my blood tests for my end of my 2 week cycles, sorry no mids back yet, but it's a start.

Testosterone, Free  2 pg/ml
Testosterone, Free and WKLY Bound  6 ng/dl
Testosterone, Total .2 ng/ml

Estrodiol  76.4 pg/ml

So what am I looking at?  And  there were PAGES of tests, so if I left one out I probaly overlooked it.  There were literally 5 pages of abreviations...

It looks like your total testosterone is 20 ng/dl which is quite good.  Estradiol is a little low for transition dosage.  Usually that is targeted between 100 and 200 pg/ml.

All the other tests just tell you if the hormones are causing problems elsewhere.  If they were, the Dr would have said something.

As it's the end of a two week cycle, your estrogen may be within limits but we will have to wait for the other two tests to come in. A possible solution that many use is a reduced dosage but a shorter cycle. The cycle could be 7 or 10 days at a lower dosage.

Well they screwed up my midcycle blood work, so I go back next week to do it again. Which seems odd... since they called today and had me increase my estrogen injection again... so who knows.
