Does or did anyone shave pre T?
Does/did it make a difference?

I did. It didn't really do anything for me. Didn't make my facial hair grow in any thicker or anything like that.

Been doing it since I dunno, 2000 maybe. It's for a few reasons, I don't especially love shaving but back when people were whining at me for having hairy arms/legs, and if I shaved them, I figured I might as well shave most of the body hair off including the face. It always confused me why women seemed squeamish about shaving their faces when they'd bother doing the rest of the body and wind up with a fem-mustache all the same which is probably the most masculine and obvious bit of hair they could think about leaving behind after all that effort. I later found it was because of the association of maleness that most of them wouldn't take a razor to their face.
But yeah I've been doing it for ages, for no particular reason other than it feel good, gets rid of the little hairs and I think it gives the face something of a "deep clean"/exfoliation too.

I shaved as practice for T. Once I got cleared for hrt I was practicing because I grew up in a family full of guys and I knew how common cuts were. I don't think it helped my facial hair as I'm only just now getting it coming in after several years of hormones.

As far as passing I don't know if it helped. As far as making me feel better it helped, but now that I have some facial hair I avoid doing it as much as possible because it is like a chore. Shaving sucks because hair isn't some on/off switch.

I was scared of facial hair because I felt like it would be a chore and my dad used to cut himself just about every day. What I have realized is that I'm less depressed than I used to be and actually enjoy spending some time grooming myself now AND my dad used really cheap razors and I can spend whatever I want and replace blades as often as I want. I still get cuts, wherever I have a pimple I'm going to get a cut but they don't hurt.

I shaved my face pre-t because I didn't want the facial hair that came with puberty. I didn't notice the thickness or anything since I was doing it everyday.
