Title: Hello dear friends!

Hello! I am feeling slightly relieved while writing to you right now ... I am a 21 years old transgender mtf and I can't describe how happy I am to finally express all my feelings to people who won't judge me nor lie to me. I always have had that feeling but I was ok with, I accepted the fact that in life we can't have everything and that I could not have the body I wanted nor the "situation" I've always dreamed of.
My family would obviously never ever accept me for many reasons, I have started searching in the internet about what I am moving through and maybe that was my fault but I met probably in a very wrong place someone who has started telling me he wants to help me, he loves me etc. At first I was not believing him but after a long time talking to him I have started believing I may be happy too and I told him everything about my life even he did never want to tell me anything about his. Recently I have discovered I was just a fantasy for him because he became so very cold with me and he admitted it after I forced it to admit it. I feel extremely sleepless, stressed and I've thought once of killing myself if the whole society is like that person. I have always been scared about my future but after what I experimented I am more and more scared. That's why I am already very happy to be here with you dear friends, even I have not engaged any type of discussion yet.
Thank you so much for reading.

Welcome!
This is a very warm, non-judgemental place. You will find friends here.
I hope you will be able to move past this obviously toxic relationship. I assure you, this one experience does not characterize the entire world. I urge you to spend spend time reading threads on this site to get an idea of the experience of others here. Collectively, we all struggle with our TG natures; some considerably more than others. There is no one correct path to follow and the struggle and resulting joys is in the discovery of ones own path to self realization and a workable life plan.
Most of us end up in some sort of therapy or formal counseling at some point. There are those who will advise you against it but the overwhelming majority find therapy extremely helpful to sort out the many issues that must be confronted in finding your path.
My advice for you is to move past this unfortunate relationship and concentrate on getting your "house in order," meaning concentrate on figuring out what you need to do to get on with your life, coming to terms with your M2F gender concerns, living as authentically as you can, coping with dysphoria, and so on. Relationships are difficult at any stage of life, more difficult if TG, and nearly impossible to navigate prior to having your own issues sorted out adequately.
I tend to think of Susan's Place as an incredible well of wisdom and experience concerning TG life, transition and coping. It is in many ways a global group therapy session when you need it. On the other hand, you will surely find friends here. I count several of the regulars as real friends who have selflessly extended a helping hand to me in some difficult times.
Welcome, again!
Steph

Judy,
We are happy to have you here. Yes, welcome to the site.
Please don't judge a group from one's actions. I think you will find support here. As a moderator, I think I can say that we try to maintain a pretty positive site. We are a little more strict on rules of civility here than other sites. So try to be as comfortable as you can.
We do have many members from all over the world, age ranges, experience range and trans spectrum. Meaning, lots of good advice.
However, I too would highly suggest starting with therapy. A gender specialist if possible. They can help you work your way through the maze of our challenges. It is one of the most important things I suggest to almost anyone on the site.
I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment to:
Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.
With warmth,
Joanna
