This is kinda a bummer.  I was suppose to see my endo in 2 weeks.  But I just got a call from the clinic saying he is retiring and no longer works there do to medical reasons.   Its not all bad news because I was planning to switch DRs anyways.   I asked the walk in drs to refer me to another endo (way back in sept) that works in a hospital and works with trans people. The good news is ill see the dr in late feb 17.  But now my walk-in endo is gone and my prescription is almost running out what can I do now till feb?  Should I look for a new endo?  but not all endos work with trans people.  Should I just start calling up endos and let them know my situation?

I'm not sure how this works in Canada but here in the US we usually get referred by a therapist. Mine gave me the name of a local Endo so I made an appointment and handed him the reference letter from my therapist

My problem is that I don't know which endo in my area are comfortable / and knowlegable about working with trans people. Im gonna have to start making phone calls.

So my family dr agreed to keep my current prescription until I go to the new endo on feb.  My testosterone levels in the male rage and in the low range. My T is 181 pmol/l

Might be a stupid question.  Does doasage affect breast growth?  Since I wont see a new endo till late Feb2017. That means I will be on the same low dosage for 5 months.  Will by breast stop growing because Im on the same dosage for so long or it will still grow but just a slower rate?

As always, your milage may vary. My levels are in the menopause range and actually higher than they have ever been in the past and I am seeing growth. I think that if you have the potential to develop, low dose just means you will develop at a slower rate but given modern medication, you shouldn't stop. The best measure I have found is if your breasts ache, you are growing and have nothing to worry about.

Dr Fung is a good Endo in the east end!

Thankx.  Yeah they are growing. Just at a slow rate.

Hi Mikka,

There are family doctors in Ontario that prescribe HRT.  My doctor does it for me.   I believe CAMH and Sherborne both suggest this because as you know endos are hard to come by.

The last time I called (June2016) camh and sherborne they told me there not accepting new patients. Even if they are accepting their wait time is super long. Its all good.  I have an appointment with Raymond Fung in (Feb2017) and he works with tans people. I just hope my current prescription will contiune my hrt progress and not stop it and just up the new endo can up my prescription.  Good news is my blood work is still good.
