Title: My Story and Planned Sigmoid Colon Vaginoplasty
Post by: yashika_1989 on October 30, 2016, 06:06:49 AM
Hello Ladies,

I really ain't sure if this should have been posted under some specified category, but posting it here under a more general discussion since it entails my journey yet as a pre-op MTF, which a surgery planned on 05/11/2016.

I always knew I was different. As a child, I used to like to play with my girlfriends with their dolls, used to like to try on female clothing but at the same time I had interest in sports too. I really do not think these activities can be attributed to any specific gender. I started having feelings for men since I was a teenager and no feelings for women and thought I was gay. Soon after went into a relationship with a guy, but there was something still missing. I wouldn't say I have complete hatred to my genitals, but yes I was never satisfied. I would definitely imagine myself in female gender when having moments of intimacy with my partner. I am sure there is a mismatch between my soul, mind and body. Unfortunately most of the people who know me say I don't exhibit feminine traits in my behaviour so it was never obvious to them. I beg to differ. Probably i will be considered tomboyish after my gender correction.

Well now coming to some specifics:

1. Psychiatrist:
I had a series of consultations with my psychiatrist (duration: 7 months), after which I finally received my letter confirming gender identity disorder. I was lucky to find someone who could do this since in India it is not common for a male to change to a female due to the common stereotype of men being superior to women and the lack of freedom of expression and fear from society.

2. Hormone Therapy:
I went to an endocrinologist, who did some thyroid tests and started my treatment with a low dose of oral medicaments. The prescription made me bloat, get sudden unbearable headaches, feel tired and quite in depression after a few months. Not being able to cope with the weight gain and wanting to establish career before changing my gender, I stopped the hormone treatment and went back to my normal male state, after which I got back all the body hair I had lost with the hormones.

I started hormone therapy again, now with a different endocrinologist and no longer oral prescription. The effects have luckily been positive. Softer skin and clear skin, not much of weight gain. I was really happy to see increase in the chest tissue. Hair is growing slowly now and it is thinner. This could be attributed to laser hair removal as well though, which I will describe below.

3. Laser Hair Removal:

I have spent a lot on laser systems. I started with Tria Laser, found it effective but it suddenly gave up on me so had to send to USA to get it replaced. It is quite time consuming though and requires a lot of patience and persistence. I could not keep up with the schedule and it didn't prove much beneficial to me.
I later got Me My Elos Pro and what results! I was able to do the upper body in less than 30 minutes. The results were good as I could stick to the schedule. Although I still feel they are not as good as some professional hair removal you get at the salon. I got an 4+4 free offer at one of the salons at a very reasonable price, and decided to take it. Am yet to start the laser treatment (November end). Have had the face treated when I first started the hormones, but after i had stopped both laser and hormones, they came back, which leads me to believe that I will have to take the maintenance treatment every 6 months lifelong after completing my 8 sessions.

4. SRS:
I have checked a lot of reviews and had visited Dr. Chettawut early this year for a consultation. He is a genuine and sweet person, and after seeing me recommended rhinoplasty and forehead reconstruction for facial feminisation. I read that he guarantees 6 inch depth but a regular dilation is required.
Later this year I got to know a person who had undergone a sigmoid colon vaginoplasty in the city I live in and had good reviews. I met the doctor and he explained some of the key aspects of sigmoid vaginoplasty, the main compelling factor being less session of dilations and a good depth, besides self lubrication. Since he (Dr. Narendra Kaushik, Olmec Clinic), has operated a lot of such cases with sigmoid colon vaginoplasty, I decided to put my thrust on him and have scheduled the operation on 05/11/2016. Will post reviews after the operation. Though am nervous and mind ask him to do facial feminisation alone, delaying the SRS surgery to Feb 2017. One of the reasons I want to get this done now is the fact that it will take 4 months to completely heal. The recovery time is 10 days at the hospital, and I really do not want to quit working at moment. I got 2 weeks off and this would be the ideal time to change and still not be evident that there was some surgery.

4. FFS:
Dr. Narendra Kaushik demonstrated some actual cases of patients and success in their surgeries and recommended rhinoplasty, forehead reconstruction with brow lift, botox under eyes (hollow eyes). I will do the eyebrow reshaping after the surgery. Plan to do these in Feb 2017 with the breast implants as well as tracheal shave and voice feminisation at the same clinic.

Am very conscious, specially in aspects of weight and get depressed with weight gain. Managing work, academics (Spanish classes and GMAT studies), gives me really less time to concentrate on physical aspect. Used to be quite lean but with hormones and eventual hypothyroidism, I have gained quite some weight. Plan to resume exercising slowly but might consider Brazilian Butt Lift in July 2016.

Need to start practicing to achieve female voice as well.

That being said, I am quite nervous about the operation and very scared that won't be able to pass. Have attached my pics below and would really appreciate some suggestions.

Dear Joanna50,

I'm reluctant to post this as it will likely reveal me for the total dinosaur that I am.  However, I must ask- what  happened to your post "My Story and Planned Sigmoid Colon Vaginoplasty"?  I first spotted the link under the Transition heading which directed me to the Introductions heading.  Now here's the rub- I'm a total idiot when it comes to web sites, especially when it comes to not being able to find necessary links.  I want to read your story.  If it's in plain sight or the link to it is, be gentle telling me.

Thanks,
Nancy's Girl

Moderators move topics around to places where they will get the most interest and responses. An example would be a estrogen related topic would get moved to HRT and would get far more response that if it were in the FFS section. When the move is made, most of the time we leave the redirect link so the owner can find the post. We don't always get it right and sometimes the direction of the thread may change requiring another move or splitting the thread into two sections. As for reviewing somebodies history, under the avatar there normally is a little man (may not show under some conditions) and clicking on that will take you to the persons profile. Again, the profile will allow you to see many interesting things about a person but Show Posts on the left hand side of the screen will allow you to review the entire posting history of a person. I often use this feature to learn enough about a person to properly respond to their questions.

I had surgery with Dr. Kaushik on 10/16/2016 and couldn't be happier with my results! I have about 9 inches of depth and no pain! I would totally recommend him and his team. Even though Thailand seems like the first choice for most girls.... I have zero regrets and the price is phenomenal!
