Yesterday I talked to my therapist about HRT. I had the great plan to make a deal with her, and she agreed. Seeing as how I am massively overweight and need to lose weight before HRT, I needed motivation to start exercising and eating properly. I got it! The deal I made with her is that when I lose fifty pounds she will give me my letter for T. I am super excited. Fifty pounds is a lot, and it is going to take time, but that time is fine with me. It allows me to get fully ready for the major transition I will go through, and prepare everyone else in my life too.
I have a support group meeting (my first one) on Sunday. I am really excited about that. As of right now, things are looking pretty good.
My husband has even come around a bit. He had a breakthrough at least. Still loves me, and wants us to be friends, possibly roommates, because he doesn't want to completely lose me. He can't not be straight, that is how he was born, and I understand that. I would just be happy to have a friend.

Congrats! Fifty pounds is a lot, but I've found that when you have a lot of weight to lose, you'd be surprised how quickly it can come off. Just focus on drinking enough water, eating the right amount of food, and staying active and I'm sure you can get there fairly quickly. I've lost just over 50lbs now since February with mediocre effort. If you really focus on it, I'm sure you can get there quicker.

Diet and exercise, that's what it takes. Eat healthy foods. Commit to an hour a day of some kind of exercise (including warmups and after-workout stretching), with one day off per week. This is a great time to start strength training, too!

The news about your spouse is really wonderful. That's a rare outcome, and very important in the long run. You'll have a close friend there for you as you move through your transition.
You sound like one determined person. That's admirable, and vital for your transition! Best of luck and success going forward!
