" As a cis woman I am never asked about my genitals. This is a question that trans men and women have to deal with from complete strangers on a shockingly regular basis.
We saw known slimeball Piers Morgan interview journalist and trans rights activist, Janet Mock, on his (short lived) 2014 CNN chat show Piers Morgan Live. During the interview, the onscreen description of Mock read "Was a boy until age 18". This reduced Mock to her genitals, as she had identified as female as a child, long before she was 18. His interview began with his "compliment" that he had "absolutely not a clue" that Mock had been born a boy, and then descended into a discussion of Mock's genitals."

I don't get people's fascination with it either. How is it even remotely ok to ask somebody about their genitals.
I have had a few people ask me dumb questions like...."are you going to have THE surgery?" or " are you going to transition ALL THE WAY? " - I suppose in a way those were asking the same thing in a sort of less direct way but then again in both instances i tried to be gracious because i was thinking that like many or even most people, they are not educated on it all. Even that wears thin though.
