Hey ladies,
The questions just keep rolling in. Will eating estrogen rich foods mess with HRT treatment or just add extra estrogen to the process?

Too much *may* backfire as they are weak estrogens and can block the stronger estrogens from working. Speculation though. No science behind this.

1. Flax Seed. A few teaspoons of this per day can lower a man's free T by 20% and is loaded with estrogen. It's the strongest food I know of.
2. Soy products. Pretty much all of them. Tofu, beans, etc. seem to come in a distant second.
T rich foods include basically everything that isn't a nut, grain, or bean while E rich foods tend to be just that.

Angélique I came across some similar reading too. I also read that a lot of the estrogen rich foods help with weight loss too.

I've heard that some protein drinks can raise T (DHT?) So I'm avoiding those.

I don't do a lot of protein shakes right now. But with my HRT intake appointment being 6 months out I was going to use that as a target for losing weight. But knowing that now will definitely have me considering what kind of supplements and post workout shakes I consume.

Phytoestrogens are estrogens themselves but won't raise the levels of estradiol nor estrone or estriol. They are significantly weaker than any of them. No point in worrying about this if you are being prescribed estradiol as what you are getting is much, much more potent.
