Okay, so I know that I have to be on hormones for a while and live in the opposite gender for a year in order to get my srs. I have a few questions... maybe one of my sisters can help ***I hope!!!***
Can I make preparations before achieving the year requirements? I plan on having Dr. Bowers do my surgery and would like to reach out and get a consult going.
I would like to start the preparations of electrolysis for the surgery. Can I start that without my initial consult? Do they know what to do and what areas to zap without a referral from a surgeon?
My primary therapist will give me the letter I need to proceed with my surgery. Can I go ahead an get my secondary before achieving the year?
I plan on being off at least 8 weeks from work so I have time to heal and dilate in peace. I've made plans for supplimental insurance to cover my income. Is this excessive?
I apologize if these questions seem stupid and rubimentary but I really would appreciate some clarity from someone that lived it already. The problem is, I have read so much about this that it has all blurred together!! Ugh... so much to think about and arrange!
Thank you ahead of time!!

Get your consultation with Dr. Bowers scheduled ASAP. I talked to her last June and the wait time for the consultation was 8 months and surgery 2 years after that.
Dr, Bowers should be able to give you information about the electrolysis during your consultation.
