i need some help ...im new to being around phoenix ..i have a doctor here ive seen for a year ...i been on hrt since 21 im now 29... in 2013 took spiro and premarin to replace the estradiol i had ran out until i could see my doctor because she wouldnt prescribe them to me until i saw her ...well long story short i got scammed for a house around that time so i couldnt go see her since she was hoursss away ...i went through alot of changes due to the hormone change...and once i took a 5 hour energy drink i had developed anxiety and panic attack ...i had never experienced that ..well over time i could see that my changes were reversing ..i had ordered estriol from a sight but didnt take spiro because it did make me super skinny im 5'9 and weight probably no more then 121 ... so eventually i could tell i was starting to get masculine and always horny i wasnt liking the effects at all and didnt notice until i met someone else in person and well it wasnt the best...over time i found a doctor and he told me that my testosterone levels were over 900 and i had developed hypothyroidism but that was wierd because when i was on spiro years before they said i had hyperthyroidism...so i finally found another doctor who specialized in hrt and trans women ...and he recommended shots my anxiety had went away up until the end of the 2nd week to take my next shot and he prescribed me provera or medroxy. ...recently i got my blood work done and my testosterone levels are down to 9 and free testosterone were 0.08 and estradiol was 382.6 ..however toward the peak i still get anxiety after the 2nd week ... i also notice a lack of appetite and tired my face is pale and my eyes are sunken im always tired and have no energy i also experience erections toward the end of my 2nd week i dont know whats going on with me ..i try telling my doctor for alternatives but i dont know what to do ...i also know that when u get ur blood work ..technically your bodys hormones still fluctuate as the shots taper down... and i took my shot the day i was supposed to take my next shot but did it before my shot so i can get a result...i do know that when i take toward the end of the 2nd week my anxiety goes away and i feel balanced ...but idk ...im currently with dr e cipolla here in phoenix but i feel like he doesnt listen to me or my issues ..im glad i gained weight now i go up to 137 to 130 it fluctuates but never lower then that but i had good results 4 years ago when i was on spiro and estradiol but the spiro did make me real skinny ...and truth be told i didnt like limiting my foods i love ...so i want a different alternative...i would think that estrogen would make you hungry and idk whats going on but i feel like i cant eat once i take my shot ...any advice would be great ..and any recommendation...let me know...so i can talk to him because he wont let me try androcur or anything..i just want something different ..ugh thanx friends currently again im taking my shots every 2 weeks and provera everyday...

Hi Angeloflight,
fellow Phoenix girl here.
Do you have insurance or are you paying out of pocket?
I have a couple of suggestions for doctors
Dr. Burt Webb in Scottsdale.
http://drwebbobgyn.com
He uses informed consent.
Very by the numbers, my therapist describes him as very knowledge with trans hormones With complications
If you want to get a more hands on approach, have someone that will really listen I would suggest Dr. Carolyn Fuller ND (naturopath ) http://www.carolynfullernd.com
When I started hormones about 8 months ago I also had tons of extremely complicated health issues. I started with Dr. Fuller, and we went slow but stable. She is quite conservative but may be exactly what you need right now.
Dr. Webb is more aggressive, but not nearly as hands on (in my experience). I am working with him as I wanted a more aggressive approach as well as he accepts my insurance, and will be of help when it comes time to start prior authorization for surgery.
Dr. Fuller runs on a sliding scale based on income. Her first appointment is an hour, with each subsequent appointment being 30 min. She also uses informed consent.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Hugs,
~Brooke~

Are there any other IC clinics in the area? The earliest I can get into an endo's office is in April and I've been approved to begin treatment by the military by January. Feeling pretty down about it. If there's a place I can go to at least begin my hormones, I would at least have somewhere to start. Otherwise, I have to postpone a lot.
