Title: Workouts for that feminine body
Post by: victoria.k on January 07, 2017, 11:53:02 AM
Hello! Been a transgender for a while now but only come out in the open as of early last year.I always had an athletic body as a body builder and now want to tone it down to a nice feminine one.Right now i am currently losing weight and at about 155 pounds. My body size is around 40/31/37.I do have small breasts now at about A cup.Since my upper body is quite muscular and large! i would like to tone that down to a more feminine one.Been told that i should stop all body building and just do cardio plus some body exercises without weights. What would you suggest??

Welcome to Susan's Place. I am not an expert at body building because I have always had a feminine muscular structure. From what I understand you want to avoid power lifting with the possible exception of the legs and work with lighter weights but more repetitions. You may also lose muscle mass when you start HRT as normally part of the package include s a blocker that will reduce testosterone levels to near nothing.

Jogging works for me with some squats...im not on HRT yet, but from what I understand if you want to have some feminine fat redistribution, you are supposed to put some weight on and then lose it again and so on....

Not really sure what to tell you for more feminine upper body, there's no magic pill for that.

I also heard some girls try wearing corsets but be careful with that, you might end up crushing something. I wore corset for a few years because of scoliosis and it definitely works. Uncomfortable though.

Hi Victoria,

I used to do a lot of weights before female HRT in a desperate attempt to find out if over compensating towards "maleness" would help the disphoria go away. Unfortunately that didn't work but I still work out occasionally. I have found light weights with cardio, pilates, spin class, and yoga are the best.

Please remember you still need your protein and amino acid supplements as they are help in your workout recovery and some body changes like breast growth especially when you exercise!
