Ok so I've looked at that and it seems good but I don't know what to do regarding emailing them

Graham Peveller. He got me my top surgery referral in 3 weeks. Great guy, easy to talk to. The only downside is if you are in the US, he is in the UK so the time difference and when he's available may mean you're waking up super early or staying up super late to chat.

Definitely not free. I'm not sure what the cost would be for you as a person in the country. I paid a total of $320 which was for up to 6 sessions and two copies of my top surgery referral letter mailed to me. We got done everything we needed in just 3 sessions. He also fit me in weekly, so I was able to get everything much sooner.

If you're in the UK, is there a reason why you're not going through the NHS? As I understand it, that is free or low cost but does generally have a wait associated.

Actually $320 for 6 sessions and two copies of referral letters?  That's $53/session and free referrals.  Typically you'll pay $150-$250/session and $100-$150/letter.  That's a great deal and maybe he'll take payment in installments.

As long as he's good and not just someone in it for the $$$ it's a great deal.

Yes, it was a great deal. He fit perfectly into my schedule and it was actually cheaper than what my copay would have been for mental health services ($75). Very good dude. I recommend him to anyone looking for an online therapist.

When you go through NHS they will offer a sort of counseling / psychotherapy service as part of the GIC... they do for me at the moment in Exeter even though I don't believe I need it... depends where you are as it might be slightly different between GICs, but I think it's standard to have them go through your psyche profile and ask you if you want extra sessions or help.

No idea about online but you can request it at your GP if it's a separate issue or mental health in general you need to talk to someone about, might take a couple of months to get someone though. NHS after all.

People seriously pay on top of your therapy costs to get the referral letters?  WTF? I didn't have to pay anything to get a referral, I pay something like $89 a session after the insurance discount and then only up to my deductible and then it's covered 100%.  Paying $100-$150 for your therapist to write what amounts to a form letter and fax it to your endo, gyno, etc., seems really over the top.

For online therapy, it isn't uncommon. Not sure about in person sessions. When I switched to those for my lower surgery referrals, they were just the cost of my copay through the same clinic that does my HRT.
