Title: How to overcome this little rough patch..

Hey all! So lately I've been having a huge issue with 2 things... my height, and my shoulders :( I'm 6 foot, with an "average build" I guess. I'm not muscly or anything, but when I look in the mirror all I see are huge, muscly, football quarterback shoulders. Everyone I talk too says they're not masculine at all, but you know how the mirror likes to point out things to you like that. I think it started when my boyfriends mom said "you're starting to fill out like a MAN!" I almost died. That sentence has stuck with me since, and I started to look at my body as a disgusting and over the top masculine figure more and more. :( I hate it. Another thing I've been struggling with lately is my height. As I said, I'm 6 foot. My height used to bother me, until I started noticing more and more cis women my height. I also had a modeling agency scout tell me I have the "perfect height for fashion walkway modeling." I was flattered. I eventually realized some of the most beautiful women in the world are tall like me. I've had guys tell me I'm a "tall beautiful goddess." I LOVE to wear heels (not kitten ones, I mean atleast 4-6") and I've noticed lately I haven't worn heels because I feel like a freak being a tall woman. I'm hoping once I start HRT again (Feb 7!!! YAY!!) things will mellow out in my brain and go back to normal. I just having these feelings and hate having such a negative image of myself. I feel like I'll never be "pretty" or even passable because of my dysphoria, which is only getting worse. Is this kind of thinking normal? What do I do about it? Thanks in advance!!
~ sincerely the tall, Amazonian, trans girl with quarterback shoulders (;
Yes, that last part was a joke. I thought I should lighten the air a bit in here!!

Gwendoline Christie is our height and inverted triangle body type. She's every bit a woman as anyone else. As we are.
You're going to be just fine.

If you're 6 feet tall you've probably got legs for days, which is never a bad thing [emoji4]

Here's what I look like..... it was taken about 2 months ago. I'm the one on the far left in the white and black dress! And yes, in heels (; lol. I'm hoping with HRT and some weight loss I'll feel better about everything... (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170125/0d14ea63e0e63dd140a69e866b5e47d8.jpg)

Kadence: you look mighty damn fine to me [emoji1362]
Self-centered observation time: I'm 5'11 and a very similar build, and if I can get close to your level of damn-finery I'll be very happy indeed [emoji6]

Hey
You look awesome btw!
HrT helped with my shoulders. My muscles are more feminine on my top half. Smoother, smaller and less defined.
I also work a lot on posture and body language. I find that relaxing my arms and shoulders, allowing them to fall down and back seems to help too. I love tank tops of any sort, seems to make my shoulders appear narrower.
I know how hard it is to accept parts of your body that you dislike, for me it's my nose, forehead, downstairs region, big feet, and sticky out veins, voice, but my list used to be larger.
Take pride in yourself, you are beautiful and strong. Remember that.
Hope this helps.
Jessica

You look gorgeous Kadence. I love your hair. Don't worry about your height. There are many 6 ft tall cis-women around.
I am 6ft2" with US size 15 feet. Its me who should be worried about passing.

Tall, with that face and great choice in hair style? Runway model. Definitely. There's nothing wrong with being tall and beautiful, Kadence. Nothing at all.

Kadence, you are extremely beautiful. I am your hieght and would kill to look as good as you. I don't know if this is going to come out right but I'll try........I think the fact that you told us which one you were in the picture tells me that you feel a little better about yourself than you may let on. Somewhere deep down that confidence is trying to push through. Just need to get that confidence to the surface. Hang in there. Your far from done.

With the horrible things Mom did to me when I was small, she gave me the amazing gift of an unshakeable positive self image. Sometimes it's hard to admit, but when I am not confident about something, it always seems to go alot deeper than what I am thinking I am not confident about.
Just like guys with long hair getting mistaken for girls, every once in awhile if somebody only takes a taking a quick look will think any tall girl is a guy. Especially if she is wearing casual clothes like jeans and a tee. It isn't something to get upset about. The person isn't being mean or saying she looks like a guy. They just made a mistake because she is tall.
I'm barely tall enough to be a model (5'10"), but waaay too fat (145 pounds). It happened when I was shopping yesterday. I was standing in the aisle and a guy was trying to come through with dolly of big boxes. He tried to be polite and said excuse me "sir." I figured he was talking to somebody so I didn't move. That gave him a second to realize I was a girl and he said "I'm sorry mam, can you let me by?" I knew it was just a mistake but I'm sure he felt bad about it.
I don't go anywhere that I would need to wear 6" heels. And even with as hot as ballet flats are now, some outfits just look better with 3 1/2" wedgies. But just like any other aspect of style, I pick my wardrobe to flatter my height not detract from it.

Kadense honey I'm 6'3" down from 6'5" I weigh 220 lbs. I wear size 16 dresses. I would love to wear boots. Have a boot fetish. But, my size 14 feet make them all but impossible. If everything fits. You've conquered half the battle. As long as you don't limp along with your foot stuffed into a shoe two sizes too small, I'd say you have nothing to worry about. You look very femme. Maria Sharapova 6'2", Taylor Swift 6', Sigourney Weaver 6' .

Plenty of natal women your age that dream of looking as good as you do. You're quite stunning. The hormones should make you...well.....unbelievably beautiful.
