Title: Transdermal route not working

I've been on E for almost a year, starting with patches before increasing, then changing to a different patch provider and increasing before switching to gel. Nothing appears to work, in fact after switching to a good dose of gel my E levels are lower than they were with the patches. I've never gotten above menopausal levels of E.
Does anyone know if this happens to many people or am I unfortunately unique in this way.
Being based in the UK I'm going to see my gender clinic in 10 days and would like to know what if anything can be done to persuade them to switch me to implants or injections. Due to my age pills aren't recommended. They have previously told me they don't support implants or injections but due to my failure to absorb E through my skin I can't see any other option.
Thanks,
J

I've tried gel and patches with poor results. My endo, who has thousands of trans patients, told me that some people don't absorb estrogen well transdermally. I'm on implants now and it's completely different.

That's what I'm looking for. Unfortunately it's looking like it's going to be difficult to persuade the NHS over here of that fact.

Maybe not implants, but It should be possible to get injections.
