Title: Norwegian LGBTQ people get church marriage and liturgy
Post by: Floof on January 30, 2017, 04:27:08 AM
Hey! Time for celebration! ..At least for me and my fellow Norwegians, as today -hours ago- we are officially able to marry in church and have liturgy to match. I am a bit of a romantic and a sucker for traditions, so it makes me very excited that I may be able to marry some future special person in my local church. Shame that an otherwise liberal and open country such as Norway took so long to do this, but better late than never.

I just had to blurt my excitement out somewhere ::)

They had a pretty handsome cake at the meeting..

Other little note on this, for anyone interested.. The new liturgy went into effect at midnight tonight, and the very first Norwegian gay couple got married using it at 00:00 exactly. Was all very romantic, and very uplifting for someone -like me- who wants to follow in their footsteps :D

How wonderful! I've been to your country a few times and loved it. This makes it even better.
