Title: Overweight and packing
Post by: patrick1967 on February 03, 2017, 04:13:05 PM
I am finding it a problem to get consistent and secure placement because of my weight. I have the rodeo packing boxers and have tried tighter standard boxer briefs as well, but because of a more than slight belly nothing seems to hold the packer in a secure position against my pelvic bone. It just seems to "float". Not sure if getting or making more of a "bikini" holder that would sit across the pelvic area to hold it tight would work or not. Any suggestions from larger guys out there?

You will have to try several different harness to see what will work for you.  I am not big on wearing a packer so don't have any definite ideas for you.

I wear a tight, slim fit harness that holds the packer in place underneath a pair of boxer briefs. Never had any problems with things moving around.

I get the floating issue, it sucks. I currently wear a packer with an O-ring that has some fabric tabs I cut out from a pair of Tranzwear boxer briefs. I just safety pin it on and it mostly stays put in my boxer briefs. I use it with my Reelmagik Basic Packer, the new softer version. Placement is key though. If I pin just a tad too high, then everything gets weird. So YMMV.

Prior to this I made an easy DIY harness from elastic bands. That worked amazingly well at keeping things in place. You could use that thing and confidently wear boxers. It helped when my dysphoria was a little worse too since I sit to pee. I wouldn't be detached upon pulling my shorts down. It's a PDF download link here under The World's Simplest Packing Harness. The only downside was damage to the shaft base of the packer. At the time I was using an extra small Mr. Limpy.

Hopefully this was helpful.

Hmm I rock the tight spandex-like boxer briefs and the floating doesn't seem to bother me. I need to adjust as the balls of down one leg and the shaft goes down another but it makes me feel more like a dude having to readjust my junk periodically. Every guy does it, why not us? :D

So long as you don't think your packer is going to fall out your pants, I would say take the readjustments as a sense of pride! Now you understand why dudes are groping themselves all day long!

Not quite. The nasty thing had a habit of inflating where it didn't have room to do so. You have to move it around so it has room to grow.

I am also overweight and have found that briefs and jockstraps are what holds best. I also have my packer "float" in boxer-briefs no matter how loose or tight they are but get very little movement in briefs and jocks.

I have the same problem. I haven't been packing lately because of it. It's so frustrating.

Thank you Matt. You not only have the same packer but a similar issue. Even with a harness the back of the packer will not stay against my body, it floats forward. I am thinking of making my own harness that would leave the balls free (anything with a ball cage crushes them against my junk n between the thighs). I am thinking a wide elastic that would sit on the hips with a second piece of elastic sewn over the first that the packer can be inserted through so the internal strap is at the back if the packer and the "loop" sits on the front of the packer, just under the shaft. Add jock style thigh straps and maybe another piece over the top of the shaft to hold it down? It's late and I'm brainstorming. I'll let you know if it works out.
