Title: General body hair

I know I know. Its all about genetics BUT when did y'all start seeing just general increase in body hair? I'm just about 2 months now and haven't noticed a damn thing in the realm of body hair. Not legs, arm pits, chest, happy trail, arms, face NOTHING. I'm not super impatient about it but I am getting a little antsy. I'm sure in about 3 weeks I'll have a full on forest in my Arss or something :D

My natural hair coloring was light brown and the hair on my arms remained short and blond. My chest and back never grew hair and my facial hair would have produced a pretty thin goatee. That was the result of about 17 years of exposure to T. Some people don't end up hairy and I suspect it's more likely if you are blond than if you have darker hair.

Give it at least 6 months. Mine first came in like on the upper lip, happy trail, and then on the sides of my face a little bit. Legs get more manly hair too. None of these places are substantial in what you actually want but they are just signs of new hair.

I noticed it darkening after about 2 weeks in certain places. Not all the body hair... just the happy trail area and upper lip.
2 months in it was definitely there, happy trail and stuff was visible. Not massively obvious but visible.
3+ months in and there's slightly darker hair on the outer surface of the arms, leg hair is gettin' kinda wild, happy trail hair is happy, I've grown a bunch of it on the top inner thighs/that region by now in the usual dude pattern. No additional chest/back hair at all which I'm ok with. Atm I'm "controlling" some of it because it helps with staying clean.

Coming in a bit at a time on the arms, including some new growth towards the inner forearm, thighs which were always almost hair free are showing some, lower leg is darkening and moving downward towards the ankle. Nothing to speak of on the chest but the pubes are thickening and getting that male "curl" rather than the straight hair I had previously and it is extending up a bit further. Chin hairs sparse but growing quickly

My forearms, stomach and upper thighs were the first places I noticed dark/new hair growth. That was within the first 2-3 months. It's been crawling all over since.
I'd say about 8 months in, the backs of my hands and knuckles got hairy. That was about the same time I started sprouting some hair on my inner forearm. Unfortunately, I also started getting hair on my back and shoulders (sparse, but present). My entire stomach now is absolutely -covered- in thick black hair as are my legs. It wasn't until about a year in (I'm 16 months now) that I started getting appreciable thick/dense black hair on my chest. It started out near my scar lines and now it seems to be both crawling up and coming down (I have some new growth on my upper pecs around the shoulder area).

When I went thru puberty it took about 9 months to go from fuzz to anything course. Your Time levels are probably much higher than miner were at 12, but, like beasts, it takes time. Use this time to learn to shave and see how your skin reacts to shaving products.
This is your time to learn about shaving like it's my time to learn about makeup. Take advantage of it.
I'd give you mine if I could, although laser has removed most of the dark ones already.

Totally had a dream last night that I had some good long dark arm, face, and chest hair. It looked AWESOME!!!! Also, I was super aware of the fact that it came in a day and that I had just posted this thread. Wishful dreaming I guess?

I was fairly hairy pre-everything. It started to fill in and darken almost immediately for me. I did notice more of it and more facial hair after my hysterectomy.

Does having a Hysterectomy really effect the body that much that it gives you a boost in transitioning?

If you have your ovaries removed, yes.
You can masculinize just fine on the right dose of T without a hysto, but the T will just be suppressing your estrogen production. Take out the source of the estrogen, modify your T dose appropriately, and you should see a noticeable improvement. I need less T to see better results now.

I have not had hystro yet, but I was well into menopause when i started my transition and my results have seemed to be fairly quick compared to friends who have transitioned younger. My initial pre T estridol was only 22, it was not retested at my 2 month

I thought I was hairy before T, but within the first couple of months being on T, all my existing hair became longer, darker, and coarser. And hair started to come in places where I never thought hair would grow like the inside of the upper arm. Facial hair just starting to come in within the last couple of months, but I know genetically I wouldn't be a thick beard guy and still have nothing in the mustache area. My T level was low so that might also contribute to the slow facial hair growth as well. But overall body hair in general, it started within the first couple of months and haven't stop growing.

I'm almost two months in and my stomach is almost completely covered in small, black hairs. Just starting to see an increase on legs and arms. I have a few hairs in unexpected places like on just one of my toes. Pretty surprised by how much hair I've grown already considering my dad was never a hairy guy.

That might be why my changes seemed so damn fast. I had all hormone levels checked before T and E was super low after a thyroid issue, which cleared itself up (but the E didn't). I think it was the reason I felt so many general aches and pains a lot back then... not enough in the tank.

Body hair for me never really 'took off.' I was on medication for ADD that is a known puberty blocker, I stopped taking it at 14 or 15. I didnt really get much body hair until afterward. Took about 15 years for it to plateau. (Again at 30 or so chest began filling in more.)
Not sure what help that is.

Studies have shown it to reduce the effects of puberty in adolescent boys if taken for periods longer than 3 years.
(dexamphetamine also has this affect.)

6+ months is when you'll start noticing more. My most noticeable was my chin, ass crack, and legs. My facial hair is still patchy but growing. I have no chest hair and like 3 happy trail hairs. I wish I could have more but unfortunately that's genetics :p.

I think the control group for the study were on it consistantly for three years, aged 12-14.
I know another boy personally who didn't hit puberty until he was 27, he was on the drug for a VERY long time at a high dose for ADHD.

After 42 years of high T I had zero hairs on my back, few hairs on my chest, no hair on my upper arms, and fairly light hair on my forearms. I wasn't able to grow a decent mustache or beard until I was around 40, and even then I had to use hair dye or much of it was too light to look good. So, T is only half the story. The other half is genetics.

Like you said, it's all in the genetics but I started noticing my happy trail growing at around 1 - 2 months. I come from an Italian family and we are all very hairy. I'm now almost 3 years in and I've got it on my chest, parts of my back, my arms, legs, belly is a big ol sweater. My beard only started to really develop this year though.

How long are the hairs supposed to get down there... they're pretty damn long and dark. But as long as they don't get caught in any zippers it's cool.
I wonder if cis guys experience the hair appearing this fast or is it long and drawn out. I've never found any particular opening to ask one of my male pals "so, like... how long did it take to get your pubes?" The one dude I could ask is out, because his happy trail consists of 1 hair, and he's not going to remember how long it took to get the rest.
