I finally thought the time was right to join this place.
Anyway, my name is Cecilia. Born male (can't reveal real name) and finally getting my chance to transition into a female. (Currently part time in house, eventually wanting to venture outdoors and even go full time)
I'm in my early to mid 30's and diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since my early years. I'm finally living by myself (and away from my repressive and restrictive parents) and just about to embark on a journey to transition.
I've always felt that I was born with the wrong gender and have sort to make things right over the years. I had an interest in the opposite sex since my teenage years, however due to my disability, one of my parents stopped me from actually doing something about it and even went as far as moving away from my birthplace and into a rural area where isolation was the norm and getting from "A" to "B" was a challenge due to limited public transport.
As a result of that move, I missed out on a lot in life and was bound by severe restrictions from my folks on how I presented myself due to how the family operates. This caused a lot of problems for me not just in wellbeing, but also my health both physically and mentally. (For example, I'm presently having confidence issues being in my female form and tend to run and hide when someone passes by)
Apart from that, I'm looking forward to sharing my journey and in the process, might ask for some advice along the way.

Hi Miss Cecelia!
Welcome to the site. Your history growing up will sound familiar to many folks here. I'm sorry you have the added complexities of ASD to deal with as well. It sounds like you are finally on your own and ready to take some action, a huge step and worth congratulations.
I hope you feel welcome here. Share you story with us, and look at the many other stories being told here. Ask questions, please!
I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment to go through them.
Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.
