Title: Dr. Kathy Rumer and PA Medicaid
Post by: Spunky Brewster on February 18, 2017, 10:56:56 AM
What are people's experiences with Dr. Rumer? Has anyone used PA Medicaid to fund surgery? Or am I the first? It just happened; i.e. it's no longer excluded now based on Rule 1557 and the governor's okay.

I don't know. I'll tell you more on Feb. 27, after I attend my consultation with her.

Hi Spunky,

I just came across this thread and was wondering if you'd heard back from Dr. Rumer. I'm FTM and looking to have surgery with her but the last I heard she was still waiting for approval to accept PA Medicaid which is what I would be using to cover most of my surgery too. I'll probably call her office sometime it's just hard to with my current schedule so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here too.

I had a good experience overall.  I give her an A-
She is a wonderful, warm, positive, caring and compassionate lady.  I really connected well with her and we were on the same page pretty much the whole way.

I have a thread called The Big Day has arrived. Feel free to read it and ask questions.

When I booked my surgery back in July of last year, she was booked 6-7 months out.  I booked for late February. Perfect time too.
