I know T has an effect on breast tissue becoming less firm and sometimes just less but does that effect top surgery outcome at all? Flip side, does taking T actually HELP the outcome of top surgery?

I never heard it affected the outcome of the surgery in general from any doctors. Heard they want you to stop a few weeks before surgery though for some reason, and then resume it after.

Does not affect it either way. I was on T before top surgery and my results were fine. I know guys who had top surgery done before T and their results are fine.
The one thing you could make a point to do that would make an immediate different in your results would be to work out your chest. And then you'd automatically have pecs post top-surgery instead of being flat as a board like most of us end up.
I also don't think T affects breast tissue in that way. I think you are confusing it with binding, which most surgeons also don't care about. They expect it and can work with the tissue however it is presented.

There's the fat redistribution thing as well, if you leave it long enough/work out enough then your chest might get smaller because of fat going away/to different places. In some cases people don't even need to bind because of it, but they'd have been pretty small pre-T anyway
But yeah, it doesn't affect the breast tissue, just the fat, if I remember correctly
Edit: Forgot to mention, it could possibly be the difference between getting peri and double incision for some people.
