Can anyone recommend a speech therapist in Adelaide...I don't have a clue how to even go about starting on my voice. So rather than learn bad habits in the beginning, I figured I would see a professional from the start...would love to avoid any further surgery if possible.

I have found 4 in my area (I have no idea if they are good or bad) and have written them all emails to see who is going to be able to help me but I am really looking for a recommendation if possible.

Cindy, your support group and your doctors would be a good place to look for a referral. If you come up dry, you will need to call the office and ask what type of experience they have in producing the transgender feminine voice. If they aren't willing to answer the question, you should remove them from your list. Also feel free to ask me question as I am more than willing to answer them.

I just happen to be seeing my ENT surgeon for an endoscope prior to having biopsies in an hour or so. He performs VFFs and I shall ask him who he use as a speech therapist.

Rob Lyons referred me to a woman at the RAH, but I forget what her name was..

I see Jennings in a couple of weeks if the Person Cindy suggested doesn't pan out will ask him for a further referral.
