so im now 2 months on hrt i was sure i will never have to deal with mental illness because my depression was from dysphoria. im not too sure anymore as im hospitalised again. 3 weeks ago i had to be hospitalised in psychiatric emergency unit because my depression got too bad to handle alone. i got discharged after 2 weeks stay and now im in partial hospitalisation. still considered hospitalised but i get to go home every day afternoon
im considering i might not even have typical depression alone but might actualy be bipolar

Hrt truly has made me feel hugely better (and I'm dreading having to go off starting this week prior to GCS). It's also released enough old and painful feelings that I've been verging on depression. The roots of all that are in trauma I experienced in childhood that have colored my whol life and not about being feminine but that's wrapped up in it and complicates it considerably.
Best wishes, I'm glad you're getting care.
