Title: If you marry someone
Post by: Wild Flower on March 27, 2017, 09:26:46 PM
I was wondering, if you marry someone, is that easily searchable on the internet? I like guys, so I will eventually marry a guy.

In most states, marriage licenses are public record, so are searchable. Outside the US, I couldn't comment on, but my guess is Canada would be similar.

Marriage licenses are searchable as are divorce records.  I was fortunate enough to not have been married in the US, so there is no record there, but I was divorced here and that record does still exist.  It is hard to find, since someone whould need to know "who" to look for on the record, but it is one of the only records of my former self on the interwebs that I could find.  Benefits of being older, transitioning in 2003, and not having much of an online presence until I was very much FT.
