Title: Breastforms and RLE

Until now I've always used breastforms when presenting female either at home or out and about, but with RLE starting very soon (eeek), I'm wondering what others have done in this area? X

Hi Megan,
I also had used forms but as soon as my own started to become noticeable (to me) under my tops and dresses I quit.
Any noticeable amount of your real self is better than a form. After all they are Yours!! and they only get better.
Hugs,
Jeanette

Jeanette, as I'm still pre-hrt (wonders of the NHS), it'll be some time into my RLE before I have anything significant of my own. I know many others start HRT before their RLE.

Sorry Megan, I sometimes forget that others have hoops to jump through and that it can really take a lot of time for those people. I feel sorry for you folk, especially you people that have horrendous wait times to even get started.
It makes me feel guilty when I realize I have had it so easy to get started. Actually start first then seek the help I should have in the first place. I suppose I could argue I waited 64 years but that would not be right. Nor is it fair to you that have to wait for real. You all have such dedication to doing this. I'm not sure I could do the same once I knew I wanted to transition.
I salute you folks and applaud your tenacity.
Hugs,
Jeanette

I'm not saying if any way is right, but I wonder at some girls who get so far with HRT they get outed by the changes before they might be ready mentally or emotionally.

My breast forms were concave on the inside allowing for my man boobs. Now they have grown to C size in 8 months and the forms no longer look natural The real deal is so much more, more. You will appreciate the natural ones so much better. I spent a good half hour yesterday just watching them bounce. Mesmerizing. Considering I am 65 and have 18 year old perkiness.

I am comfortable at work with my limited development thus far. I transitioned while at my current place of work 2 years ago. My hormone levels are increasing since switching to patches very recently.
Beginning to bounce.
I wear breast forms rarely- and never when going for electrolysis presenting as a gerbil.

Handy feedback, thank you Steph. The ones I use enable me to fill out a B cup, and I do like the shape they give me, and how they help with the fit of clothes. I'm hoping that HRT will give me enough to stop using them fairly quickly.

I used Forms for years. Once I started hormones and went full-time (2014), I decided to get rid of the Forms. Had my BA on 20 Feb 2017.:)
Forms are great for those who do not yet want or feel comfortable getting BA.
To me, my 2 yrs on Hormones mark was the deciding factor. My boobs were not where I wanted them so I did something about it.

that's why I was hoping to get HRT before RLE , my size A ? man boobs (a cupped hand size) fit the T shirt bra I wear to work but not enough for when I come out but could do with some hollow back ones . saying that they are soft enough to wrap around anyway(just checked ) and fill a 40 C cup fine and bounce, makes me tempted to go out

I will be probably full-time before any significant development from HRT and I've been living as a female apart from work and official stuff for years. I've got a combination of bras that I really like and they give me a shape and look that is proportional to my body. Hopefully I'll have breasts that will fill those bras.

It's the funny thing about using forms, we can choose the size, but HRT is potluck!

I wore breastforms at home for a couple of years prior to starting on HRT. Now that I have my own (slow) growth occurring, I'm wearing the breast forms less and less. For one, I want to give my own breasts room to grow. I am worried that the forms will negatively affect my growth as I have read that binding down or pressing against growing breasts will inhibit their growth or cause them to form misshapen. Whether this is true, I don't know, but I don't want to risk it!
The second reason that I've started using breast forms less and less: I'm proud of my own growth and want to show it off where possible. I'm definitely into B territory and am noticible under tight clothing. I think I'll shortly be saying goodbye to my trusty breast forms. They've served me well!

I have a perfect good set of high quality breast forms that I have worn maybe 2-3 times. As soon as my girls became noticeable it doesn't take much to add a little volume. With a wig and breast implants I felt fake...now I don't have to use either... a little padding in the right area and a b cup looks like an average c cup...and if you ever ask me I will flat out deny that I have ever padded my girls ;D

I used forms in the six months between coming out and starting HRT, during which period I was kind of genderfluid. Some days embracing the excitement of presenting feminine and other days retreating to the safety and familiarity of masculinity. By the time I began wearing my first AA bra, I ditched the forms. I was just so happy to have something of my own, that I didn't want to obscure them. I haven't even seen my old forms since and that was about 18 months ago. I should probably donate them to a gender charity or something.. ?
I did want to say though, that the transition from forms to real is so delightful. I am so excited for you!! My real breasts are a 14C now (lucky me) and some days I come home, take of my stifling bra and grin in delight that my boobs no longer fall off on to the floor. Or that I can shower without them sliding off. Or that I can sleep without the warning of the manufacturer in my mind, "Do NOT sleep with your breast forms!" Oh, and the sensation... omg! I can make shivers run down my spine and my knees tremble just by tickling my nipples now... yeah, they're amazing!

Quote from: meganjames2 on April 13, 2017, 03:43:15 PMUntil you have put some time into your RLE, don't make any decisions regarding surgeries, including a breast augmentation. Some insurances will pay for that, if accompanied with the correct diagnosis code. Just try, TRY to get them taken out! It's doable, sure. But you'll pay for it right through the nose!

Hi Charlee, thanks for replying. BA isn't even on my radar yet. I do alot of sports, so I really don't want too much up top. I'm starting from a substantial 'moob' base, my mum and sister are quite well endowed, so I expect/hope that E and time should give me all I need or want ☺️.

My RLE date was based on impending male fail. So at that point, I switched from sports compression bra in male mode and breast forms in female mode to a simple padded bra in full-time girl mode. Even with the padding, the girls are kind of little, but I know women with much smaller boobs, so I'm happy.

As can be seen, everybody has their own approach to what is needed to be comfortable starting RLE. For me, I was four months into hrt when I began RLE. The RLE was triggered by my wife and I realizing that I was/am transgendered and totally out of control of that. My choices were to die or to go full time. We decided to just do it and came out full time in one day (truth be told I was out half to three quarter time before that point). My girls were small A's at the time and I was wearing a 36A pushup bra and sometimes augmented them with silicone wedges (sometimes called cutlets). I will be hitting my one year mark on hrt later this month and am seven plus months into RLE. My girls are now just pushing past 36Bs into C cups and being able to let go of forms or enhancers has really helped my "feel" of authenticity or realness; that and my hair growing out enough to let go of the hair piece has been great. Now just waiting for November and SRS...... - Anne
