Title: Finally started HRT
Post by: Balerie on April 19, 2017, 11:33:05 PM
After waiting almost a week for the blood tests to come back and losing sleep in anticipation of when I would get the call, the day finally arrived. Today I got a text from my pharmacy telling me my prescription was ready and a call from my doctor telling me that my cholesterol high and I needed to change my diet and that my prescription had been sent. I was told that my testosterone levels were low enough that no blockers were needed and that she'd like to see me in a month to run blood tests.

I had a laugh at the pharmacy because I had originally thought to pick it up at the drive-thru but then I thought "what the hell" and went inside instead. I must have confused the pharmacist because she asked me if I knew what medicine I was picking up then pointed to the Estrodial and I nodded. I guess they were expecting a woman not a bearded man.

Regardless this afternoon I took my first dose after lunch and can't wait to see what happens next. My plan is to take a selfie every day to see if I can spot the gradual changes. I'm so excited to be starting on a low dose at least for now.

Let the games begin!

Congratulations MRV. You've joined the club and boarded the ride.  It will be awhile before you really strat to notice the changes. The first this you notice is the one that has already happened as soon as you put that pill in your mouth.  That excitement you felt that said I and really doing this, it is happening!
The next ones are likely to be subtle up until you start feeling tenderness in 2 key spots on your chest. Witj that one you will know without a doubt something is happening. Oh Mrv enjoy the ride your journey has begun.!

  Hugs,
    Jeanette
