Hey all my lovelies.
Thought I'd give y'all a lil update on my hair gains

This is a mix of HRT, Castor/Coconut oil mix, less washing (2x) a week and time.
Seeing what I managed to gain and what I have heard from others, ther is really no reason that we don't all have the potential to regain hair to some extent.
I was only missing at the corners and I don't did I loose hair, or did it just grow in a male pattern. I think the later as i think I would have noticed.

I really believe in the oils, not just in there effects they have on their own, but in the action of putting them in and massaging the scalp to get the blood flowing, you can feel it tingling and warming. Also this also eleminated any dry skin I would have.

And Harley it's the Castor oil that is the main actor here, the coconut in this case is merely to thin out the castor as it is very thick. The coconut oil is still beneficial.
And Mikaela i do a 50/50 ratio.
It works for me anyway :')

That's so great to see! I've got significant thinning throughout offer the last few years & a hairline that has receded at least a good half inch since I was about 20, so seeing posts like this always gives me hope. I'm seeing a fair amount of new growth poking it's way up after nearly 4 months of Finasteride and just started HRT a few days ago, so time will tell how good my regrowth is. I'm going to look into adding the oils to my regimen. How often do you apply & how much of it at a time?

And Rambler, I would do it once a week, it takes quite sometime to actually do, make sure your hair is well combed through with no nots. Then apply your oils to the roots (you will have to heat the two together to melt the coconut oil down and to thin out the castor oil with the coconut oil). After roots you can do the rest of your hair and then leave it on your head for about 2 hours, i usually rub some into my eyebrows too lol
Washing out, you may need to shampoo twice, i remember having to back to the shower after my first time lol

Switching to EV injections (and taking oral progesterone), I found my hair became real shiny and glossy (same with skin).

My Dr. says oral progesterone does not do much.

It's true that my hair became shiny and soft only after switching to injections so that the change was probably due to estrogen and not progesterone but some transwomen report that oral progesterone helps reduce skin dryness, makes skin softer and nails stronger.

I personally take a high dose of oral progesterone WITH food so *perhaps* your doctor hasn't seem much results because doses prescribed were lower and recommended to take on an empty stomach. It's possible...

Hey all, just a little update on my hair situation.
It has been growing crazy but I did have to trim a few dead ends.
The hair has continued to push forward at the corners of my hairline slow and surely. This is my 14th month on HRT. I think I have been pretty lucky with this, and though my hairline was not too bad, every little helps.

I have been very lucky with my hair situation, it's unfortunate I had to cut it up 2 years ago because my boss was complaining, it would be maybe 70% longer now. Other than that I have kept a simple routine with it described in my first post.
I hope I can one day update this thread with the corners eventually fully filled in, though even as it is I am happy :)

So did the corners fill in from the hairline out?  I'm noticing some short hairs near my existing hairline (similar to your starting point) and was wondering if I was just imagining things.

And as always, I'm still totally jealous of your hair.

Was your hair issue just a receding hair line on the corners, or did your regimen help at all with other hair as well? My hairline is perfect but I have typical male pattern baldness going on the crown and just generally thin hair on top (courtesy of my mother actually, so oddly doesn't bother me too much), and have been desperately trying to get some regrowth going. I've had some luck so far with the generic combo of minoxidil, finasteride(propecia dosage, not hrt dosage), and nizoral alternated with a thickening conditioner (lots of weak/near invisible hair that should in theory be the sign its working), but after reading your post and seeing your results I'm wondering if I shouldn't cut back on extra shampoo/conditioner and start using the oils for better effect. Particularly since my long term goal is longer feminine hair, not just mediocre short male hair.

Yes Colleen the hair slowly filled from the hairline out.  Those small blond hairs will transform eventually.

Hey Roll, my problem was only at the front, but this hair was always missing I never remembered having it. It's like it just formed in a masculine shoe. Mwybr the fact the hair was never lost made it easier for it to be activated by the estrogen?
Small fine hairs are a sure sign something is going on though.

Dang Rachel, sometimes I just can't get over how pretty you are. Don't even worry about your nose, it is really cute on you.

I haven't been using oils, but since being on finasteride, I have filled in the thin area on my crown. My front corners were different. I have been using Walmart's generic Rogain. Just rub some in my corners each day twice. I now have blond fuzzy hairs starting there. :) Hoping they continue to grow and gain color like yours.

Keep going Rachel! You have been an inspiration to me and others that we might recover some though many of us won't be a natural beauty like you. I know I'll need a bit of bone shaving first. Lol

I'm totally jealous! I started losing my hair pretty quick in my early to mid 20's and couldn't get on finestaride until I'd already dealt with nearly 10 years of progressive hair loss. I was on finestaride for nearly a year before I started hrt  and it didn't seem like it did anything much but since starting HRT my hair has already thickened a lot and if all the vellus hair that has been growing in becomes proper hair I'll have a decent head of hair but I don't think I'll ever have anything as good as yours. I'll definitely have to try the oils though.

I have the exact same issue with my hair. Otherwise, it's fine. Like you, I don't think I ever had hair there.
Hopefully mine grows in too!

I think the oils really work. I think the very act of massaging the scalp does wonders. It's gets the blood and oxygen supply flowing to those babies, and those that may be dormant.

Once you have oil or conditioner on your hair gentle steam works great for helping the conditioner. At work we use a steamer. It looks like a hair dryer you sit under but instead of air it generates steam. But you could do the same thing in the shower.

Yes I have heard of steaming, I suppose a damp cloth that you could heat up and ring out then wrap around your hair would work.
Repeat once the cloth gets cold.
I would love a good wash and blow dry actually one of these days, to destress after all this work :') nothing more relaxing

I also had some thinning on the corners and tried the "Monistat Challenge" last summer. It really worked!! There are videos on YouTube of women who have tried it. I recommended it to a friend (she's GG) and she sent me photos of her hairline after a few months. I could see the growth. You can also mix some castor oil with the Monistat.

I've found with hrt and biotin my hairline is coming back slowly. In 9 months the balding patches are gone and MPB hairline is gradually reducing. Biotin also makes my skin happy and my nails grow like crazy!

I have never tried the biotin route krobinson, I had always heard it had some T boosting effect, or something like that so I have avoided trying it.
The boost for nails would tempt me :')
