Title: Orchi and Sack Removal
Post by: rus on April 30, 2017, 11:51:35 AM
anyone know if its possible to get an Orchi and Sack Removal and later on down the road still have SRS done down there..

I have both planned in a couple days with Dr Arnkoff which came highly recommended.  I'm not sure I want the SRS right now but I would love the option to do it later still..   so if I do the Orchi with sack removal can they still build me everything I need maybe using skin grafts?

thanks in advance for all who answer..

If you get sack removal Dr Suporn won't do your SRS.

If you do an orchiectomy (a very smart move) you should elect to keep the scrotal skin tissue as it can be used in the second stage of SRS (penile inversion/vaginoplasty) If you remove that skin, it will severely limit your options with SRS to require grafts from the colon.  I don't think colon-grafting sounds very smart.

I have a few days to decide still so I truly appreciate everyone letting me know

my appointment is on the 13th of may.  so if I decide I want to keep the sack I would save $1,500 too lol.. but I really do not like the way it looks and I'm not entirely certain i want SRS later so I'm in a bit of a pickle here..

anyway thanks again..

An additional issue. The incision must be properly placed for the skin to be usable in SRS surgery. If the blood supply is compromised, the skin won't survive relocation. I normally suggest the surgeon doing the Orchi contact the doctor doing SRS in order to properly place the incision. This skin may also be put to different usages. In my case, the skin was used to construct the labia and the penis was used for the vagina where as other surgeons place it differently.

Sack removal is not necessary, as that will shrink away. Within a short period of time after my orchiectomy, it was pretty near impossible to tell I even had a scrotum.

In time the sack will reduce in size and keeping your options open with the different surgeons and the tecnics they use later, where as loosing it will make a short list and it will avoid problems later down the track when it comes time for full SRS as some docs will not touch you ........

Cheers Tracy
