Howdy y'all!
I'm newly registered here, have browsed these forums as guest off and on the past year or so.
I'm in Texas, 55 years old. Began preparing for my transition at age 53, my New Years resolution for Jan 1st 2016 and at 205 lbs, 5'7" was to lose at least 40 lbs before starting HRT. Made that target by the first of August ( actually lost 45 lbs) , and began HRT on Sept 2nd, weighing in at 160. I'm about to wrap up 8 months of hormones in a couple days and the changes have been amazing. Going to request injections from my doctor at the end of 9 months and get off these pills. I'm fully out to all my friends and family, and as of last week fully out at work. I've been presenting in public (not at work yet) en femme for almost a month now. What a wild journey this is proving to be. Wished I'd started 35 years ago, but society and my immediate world around me simply wouldn't have allowed that back then.

I'm Laurie or at least for now I am. lol I was using Jeanette as a moniker but am trying out Laurie now. I am 64, mtf on HRT almost 5 months. I am also a self appointed unofficial greeter for Susan's Place. As such I'd like to welcome you to the site. Though really you should be welcoming me as you've been coming here long than me. (( Hug )) yup I do that too when I say hi to others girls for the first time. Come on in and grab a beverage and a chair. Get comfy. You know your way around already so I don't need to explain anything like that to you.
Glad you decided to come out of the closet with use and start participating by helping new folk with your experiences and your stories of how you overcame your trials and tribulations. Make yourself at home.

Welcome ruby! Your like lot of use that wish we started sooner but it is what it is. Better now than never. It's going to be a ride. At least you have others here to lean on!
