ok so i live in Tampa fl im not new to HRT but i want to do it safely from now on I dont need therapy I know who I am and proud of it I just need the letter so i can get a doctor and  prescriptions I dont like doing HRT alone and its scary businesses.
does anyone know a therapist that is understanding and will actually help im my situation?
because I will just laugh in the face of anyone who tries to say oh well you need time I decided 6 years ago I have no problems with my choice and will walk out and continue to do it alone even though i dont want to
im 26 i came out when I was 18 im aware of everything and thats why i want a doctor because I dont want to hurt myself point blank but getting HRT meds are way to easy and I dont know what im actually getting I want to be sure they are right that im taking the right amount my levels are safe and my body is reacting correctly

so if anyone knows any good therapist that are in my area pleases send a link
after all its not the therapist that is making the choice its my choice my life my body I just want to be safe

Welcome to Susan's Place. Florida allows informed consent HRT so a therapist letter shouldn't be needed if you can locate a doctor willing to treat you without a letter. I did some googling and I wasn't able to locate a doctor and it appears that Planed Parenthood doesn't run a clinic there. Perhaps another member in the area will be able to provide some assistance. One thing to consider and that is if you intend to have surgery, a therapist would provide better documentation for the surgeon if you have a history with the therapist.

yeah thats been my problem for years i cant really find a doctor that takes it serous and therapist are back and forth lmao i guess i need to find some trans people and ask them although easier said then done and yeah I do want the surgery but thats a later idea to much money for me right now  thank you though :)

It's a bit of a drive, but I know a therapist in Sarasota who isn't a "gatekeeper." Send me a pm and I'll give you her contact info. Also, there is a planned parenthood clinic in Sarasota that does offer HRT services. I haven't been there, but I've heard others talk about it.

My therapist is Dr. Sara Fackleman, she has offices in Tampa and St Pete. She also sponsors a monthly meeting at Metropolitan Community Church in Tampa which is free of charge. The church website has dates and location. Look for Translife Matters.
