Title: Need clarification about third sticky down (the banned to talk about product)

I get why, i agree why, Im concerned about where in the first post in that thread estradiol is being commented on.
Its what EVERYONE in canada that I know is taking for estrogen.
Is it not estradiol thats dangerous but when cyproterone and estra-diol are combined?
So what is the alternative if estradiol is so dangerous and what to do about it if im being prescribed estradiol for my estrogens.
This has me particularly worried as I've been on estradiol for 3 years.

Hey Rhea, if it's the post I'm thinking about, they refer to ethinyl estradiol, and not bio-identical estrodiol that you are likely prescribed. Dr J?

If you search on the internet, you will discover that the drug isn't intended for use in HRT. The rations of the medications are wrong and to use it effectively to transition might result in serious health issues. The drugs might be provided separately or a different combination of drugs would provide a far safer alternative. In a proper treatment program this drug would never be used so the only other reason for discussing it would be self medication which isn't permitted under TOS 8

You are correct it is the combination that is dangerous. The post clearly states that Diane-35 (cyproterone and estra-diol) can't be discussed. How you got from this sticky that estradiol is bad is a mystery to me.

Estradiol is the standard and is not at issue. For the most part those of us on M2F HRT take some form of estradiol. This is not an issue and has proven to be safe. Take a breath and worry no more.

Ive now done a little (tiny bit) of reading and am very relieved to know that its the combination.
Thankyou for the clarification I was, to say the least, concerned.
