Title: Hello :)

Hi everyone,
I'm Jamison. I've been a browser of Susan's Place for a while, but I only decided to make an account now because I'm fed up with the dysphoria and would like resources on transitioning (ftm). I came out to my mildly supportive family as genderfluid/non-binary almost 2 years ago, and to my friends around that time as well. In the past year or so, I have continued to question my gender identity and I'm at the point where I identify 90% as a boy. I am so scared to ask for advice because of all the awful things happening to trans people these days, and the only thing holding me back from fully wanting to transition is the fact that I'm in high school and like I said, people are violent.
So anyway. In addition to all that, I like dog training and physics.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome to Susan's Place. Feel free to ask any question you have on the site because your identity will remain private and the only details that will be public are the ones that you post. In addition, many schools now have consoler available to help students who are LGBT. You might ask what resources are available at you school because therapy might help you plan your future. Strange as it may sound, in some schools it's now normal to have students openly transitioning and to the other students, there is nothing unusual about it.

Thank you for the welcomes!
I'm just finishing sophomore/entering junior year, so I have 2 years left.

Have you tried talking to your guidance counselor? They can be helpful.

Hi Jamison,
Welcome to Susan's place, come on in and feel free to ask your questions and state your views. We're here to support you and give you whatever advice and help we are able too. Your comments and ideas are welcome also. Who know it may just be something you shared that turns out to be that missing piece that helps someone else in crisis.
Glad you're here.
hugs,
Laurie
