Many of us have been there as well. It took me over 50 years to make my decision to transition.  This is not an easy decision to make either way. Family obligations held me back.

The funny thing is, I know it's what I have to do, but it is the opposite of what I want.  It's tough but hey, 50 years of practice. Funny, had things turned out differently I would probably would have followed my heart and what I know to be true and transition. Such is life!!

I could have written exactly the same thing myself.  It's not an easy path (but, there again, neither is the alternative as far as I can tell) but, as I've found out myself, it is do-able.

Bob..Best of luck with your path. Life is hard and wonderful all at once and you have to choose the path you believe will get you to the best possible conclusion of it. I sort of sense that the decision though might not one you are entirely sure of.

Wouldn't it be an awesome world in which a change in our gender presentation was simple, personal and not disruptive. Then you could pursue the one you want without ramifications.

Bob, I have to say that reading this breaks my heart.  Not because I'm suggesting you're making the wrong decision or anything like that, only you know what is best for you.  However, I know what my experience felt like for 39 years and I can't imagine trying to live the rest of my life with that struggle.

So I applaud you for having the vision and commitment to see the best path forward for you.  I wish you nothing but success and peace in your future.

It takes a lot of courage to decide on whatever path we must choose for ourselves or to support the ones we love....very often that decision and path have to be reevaluated throughout our lives.   I wish you the best of happiness and health in your life adventure.

LOL...I soooo hate autocorrect!!  In fact as I typed in "soooo" it auto corrected to "spook"!!!

Well, since we are Cowboys fans AND Green Bay, I guess we can talk...LOL.  Let's just say the decision may have slightly shifted but much is yet to be determined!  PM me and I can tell you more (but it may be a long drawn out story!!)

I think I watched this show before. Actually wrote, better yet, acted in long succession of "WTF am I doing??? I got to stop this craziness" end of season x; to "WTF am I doing thinking I can get away with stopping this craziness after actually almost feeling like a for real person for the first time ever?" opening for season y

I think it got canceled by one network and picked up by another!! 

I'm thinking shows like, "One Day at a Time" and "Survivor."  Or even a song like, "You got to fight for your right to party."
