Title: Fighting a hopeless battle.

I have been trying to achieve a flat stomach but it seems futile. I'm not fat and I don't have a muffin top or anything but my stomach is not flat. I have a little pooch and it is making me crazy. I work out but it does no good. I eat low calorie foods and if I increase my workouts I do start to lose weight. But I start losing it in my boobs and rear end. Instead of hearing " your losing weight and you look good" I hear instead " why are your boobs getting smaller? Whatever you are doing, stop it." Does anyone else have this problem and if so did you find a solution? I feel like I can choose a flat stomach or having nice boobs.

There is no solution. There may be better ways of eating to achieve weight loss but to get a flat stomach you have to lose the fat and that means fat will be lost all over, boobs included.
If you look at some low bodyfat CIS female athletes you'll see that they have the same issue.
I am trying something novel though that may or may not work. I'm working to lose all belly and lower back fat and am almost there. I'm also eating very low carb. There is some evidence that a low carb ketogenic diet MIGHT remove remove the belly fat cells themselves after they have been emptied of fat. IF it works I could then regain a little weight without it going to my waist, just to the other places under the influence of HRT. If it doesn't work then nothing is lost and I get healthier.
From what I read it only might work and it also might take a while before it happens. So, we'll see.

Hello Cimara,
Yes, I agree it does appear to be a hopeless battle.
I found an interesting article in 'Women's Health' which has a good exercise for trimming the waist:
http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/belly-pooch-exercise
Good luck.Let us know how if it works.
Hugs,
Bronwen.

If it is not a problem of swelling (due to digestive reasons) the only solution may be VASER lipo or any other surgical liposuction procedure.
Having implants (boobs and rear) is a good way to be skinny without losing curves too.

Unfortunately some of the time you can't fight genetics. Only a small handful of people are naturally skinny with a flat stomach and only a small handful of men are able to gain a six pack and put on significant muscle. Yeah a lot of fat covering your stomach is shown to lead to health problems but you don't sound like you have that problem. Just concentrate on eating healthy instead of obsessing over an impossible ideal.

Pudge is fine, really. It's not unnatractive and you sound healthy enough.
If you did want the boobs/belly combo in the future breast augmentation could help to keep the shrinkage at bay while you target other fat areas, I think it just doesnt seem like something you can worry about now, though

That is what my boyfriend says. He thinks I am being silly to obsess over something he considers so minor. Of course he has a six pack. I have considered breast implants in the past but I really don't want them. So I suppose I will just have to live with the pooch.

Cut out as much sugar as you can. You'll lose both belly fat and general weight, but it won't affect your breasts. I cut sugar way back about a month to a month and a half ago and have already lost roughly 25 pounds. And to be totally honest with you, my chest is bigger now than it was before hand.

The female metabolism is much slower than a male. Males eat more, drink more and still stay slim. And of course our metabolism slows down with age. This basically means we have to eat less and drink less. So watch your calories.
Females accumulate fat in different areas. We first accumulate fat in our thighs, butt and boobs. Because of our metabolism and very low T we need to exercise more to build muscle. We can have flat stomach but you have to focus and perservere. I do 700 stomach crunches daily for a flat stomach and for a solid butt I do 100 squats, I have a flat stomach,( except when I had a gassy stomach caused by a nasty bacteria from food I ate) and a solid butt from squats.
With diet and daily exercise regime you will find that your boobs sag and loose fat, sadly the only solution is accept your smaller boobs or have a BA.
