Title: Choosing my therapist

I love about 3 hrs away from the nearest city, there is a town about 2 hrs away that does have one gender identity therapist. My village doesn't have anything. And I do not have a car.
There are a few options i have but I don't know what is the best route to take. I can try and find one I can Skype with. I can wait till I have a car (timing unknown). Buy a bus ticket to see one.
But now there is choosing one, ideally I am looking for one with gender identity and psychosis background.
I sorta have a question but I mostly wanted to vent I've been looking for about a week now and just can't decide what I want to do.

Don't get discouraged and keep looking! It sounds like you live in a really isolated place but you do have the WWW / internet. Just don't give up!
I'm not as isolated and it still took me weeks on line and several phone calls to find the right therapist. Yet I still drive two hours each way once or twice each week to see her! It's that important to me!
Good luck and keep pushin on!

Are there any other trans people near you could ask who they used? Maybe an online support group in your area?

Hi Zquence, welcome to Susan's Place! We have quite a few therapists listed in the Healthcare section (https://www.susans.org/links/Healthcare/) of our Links Directory. I know quite a few will do Skype sessions. I hope you find someone that can help you move forward!
Hugs, Devlyn
