Title: Breast Augmentation 7/17/17
Post by: Rachel on May 29, 2017, 02:30:58 PM
I am posting here because there is no child board for BA and I thought this is the best place to post. If it is not then please relocate the post.

I have a BA scheduled for 7/17/17. I was supposed to have it with my GCS but got postponed due to a complication during GCS. I am very excited and a bit nervous at the same time. I am going with 550 cc Mentor cohesive silicone over the muscle. I can not go under the muscle or I would and go with saline. I am a 39 chest. I am in the process of losing weight and want to lose more 24 pounds. I lost 15 pounds so far. I am losing slow on purpose as I have dealt with losing too much and gaining too much in the past. Presently I am 204 pounds and 6'1". I was 2 inches taller at one time. I am turning 55 in two days I have been told I look in my early 40's (FFS does wonders).

This all should have been 6.5 months ago.  I want boobs so I can have some curves and look and feel better about myself. Originally when asked by Dr. McGinn what size do I want to be I said I do not know but not too big and I want to look good. She suggested a full C and I said I agreed.

That was an eternity ago and I have been watching lots of U-tubes about BA's. There are a few that had revisions for larger implants. I want to look good and also not be a spectacle and look fake. I know people that know me will know I have implants but I want to look proportioned.  I want to look good in a bathing suit. I also want guys to find my breasts attractive.

So, I am questioning my decision with 550's. Should I go larger? I would rather order larger implants and have paper weights than do this again. Anyone that has insight, been through this or knows someone that has been through this please let me know your thoughts.

Many thanks,
Rachel

Hi Tina, thanks for the reply. What is your chest size and what cc's do you think would be best?

I am comfortable with a smaller breast size and would most likely be unhappy with something larger than a C but I know that's not true for everybody. You need to get a measuring cup, nylon hose and a bag or two of rice. Measure out the rice and tie it off in the nylon hose then use the rice to fill out a bra cup. It will give you a good feel for how much shape you will have when wearing the different sizes and for little more that the cost of a few bras, you will be sure of getting the right size the first try.

It's very difficult for us to tell you what you need because we don't know what you look like, how big you are and how you envision yourself. A little experimentation should tell you far more than we can.

Rachel,

I am 6 feet tall and a little over 200 pounds. My chest also measures 39 inches. I do not have implants, but I wear a size 40 D bra. Usually a Playtex 18 hour bra.

My feelings are that a D size cup on a 39 inch chest is not that impressive. Rather I look very normal and balanced.

If you are going for a larger breast size, you might want to go larger than the 550cc size. The last time I was in my plastic surgeons office, I tried on a pair of 600cc implants just tucking them in my bra. Yes I looked bigger, but not that much bigger. There are limits on how large you can go, depending on how much loose skin is in your chest area.

There are BA websites, such as "Implantinfo" and others with many before and after pictures.

The rice technique has been used for many years, but also many plastic surgeons have sample implants which you can tuck in a bra for a day or two, just to see how they feel.

fwiw, I looked at one online breast volume per band/cup size and it said that a 40C breast was 850 cc. Let us know what you decide and how it goes. And good luck.

All the best,
