Title: Highschool transcript and avoid being outted in college?
Post by: lovelessheart on June 01, 2017, 02:52:39 PM
So question..

Has anyone had problems getting their transcript altered with the correct name information?
My highschool says they are unable to change it..
I did however read somewhere that a girl got her ged, even tho she has a highschool diploma To avoid being outted. Is this possible ? What work around did you have with this situation ..

Thanks..

If they will not change your diploma I would do a GED and forget the diploma. If your gender is listed as male on your college documents that is going to cause problems for you later on if your goal is stealth. Thankfully my name and birth records were all changed when I was 14. When I moved here to the US everything from home listed my sex as female. Because of  that there are no documents here in the US that ever listed my sex as male.

A GED might make admission more difficult.  Changing everything over in college shouldn't be terribly hard especially if you've already gotten your name and gender marker change done.  None of my professors ever looked at my high school diploma.  The only people who ever were interested in it were at the admissions office.

Why do you think it would be more difficult
