Title: Switching insurance mid transition?

I am currently with Kaiser Permanente through my employer, but I may be changing jobs soon. I have an interview tomorrow and I do not know yet if the company (it's home depot) offers Kaiser. I don't want to switch insurance because Kaiser is amazingly trans friendly and my whole medical team is outstanding. I'm worried about what will happen if I switch insurance, will the company still cover my transition? Will I need to go to new therapists and be re-evaluated? I'd prefer to keep Kaiser but I'm worried that I will not be able to afford it if it isn't through my job. I'm very worried and concerned :(

I'm not sure which insurer Home Depot uses, but they receive top ratings as a company.

I wouldn't be too worried. :)

I had my interview this morning and the manager who interviewed me informed me that they do in fact have Kaiser. I saw that home depot was a 100% company with HRC and that made me happy, but even if the insurance covered my transition I just really don't want to change doctors. I have already developed a relationship with this medical staff. They already know me as Macy and always make me feel accepted whenever I visit them. I'm happy to find out that I will not need to switch doctors!

Not to mention I am RIGHT on the verge of starting HRT. I have my next therapy session tomorrow and I have a really good feeling that tomorrow might be the day I get my letter, so switching insurance when I haven't actually started hormones yet would be awkward timing and a bit of a setback. I'd be less concerned about switching if I was already on HRT because they'd likely just switch the prescription right over. But luckily that won't need to happen anyways.
