I start hormone therapy next month. Got the letter from my therapist and my GP administers the hormones. The plan is to start out on low dosage. My doctor said that I should not need hormone blocker since my levels are 180 and the estrogen will probably knock that down. Been a long time waiting for this. Any advice?

Your Dr. is the authority to listen to, but T levels at 180 will interfere with the feminization work that the estrogen has to do. This might be something to talk about later on. Good luck and welcome.

Hi Ann,
Congrats on getting to start HRT. It's a fun ride though a slow one. So best advice I can give you is be patient. Before you start take baseline measurements and pictures so you have a good reference for checking your progress later on. Measure anywhere you think you'll see changes. Some people even make a picture diary of their progress. Say a set of pictures every month with the same pose and lighting if possible.
Have fun,
Laurie
