I've been on low dose patches for a good while now, and am hugely happy with the mental effects...the physical changes I can manage.
My doc now wants to prescribe spiro for an unrelated matter....will this have an impact?

Depending on the dosage, it can drop your T right down to zero. Depending on what it is right now, that may make physical changes from E more prominent.

Spiro + E is a pretty common HRT combination. Transition-wise, you can expect more of what you are used to.
Spiro is a strong diuretic, so you are going to be thirsty / dehydrated. Drinking lots of water helps, but you pee more, so you'll still be thirsty. Your doctor should monitor your sodium and potassium levels to ensure that it doesn't mess them up. The tendency on spiro is to be high on potassium and low on sodium.

Thank-you both. Doc has mentioned close monitoring, and I trust her implicitly!
