Title: Yet another crossroad :(
Post by: VickyJones89 on June 13, 2017, 09:05:41 PM
So lawyer went to court for my on Monday since my sons mother (my 2nd ex wife) and basically they are concerned about my mental stability. I believe it's only because there was a hand written note given to my ex who gave it to her lawyer, that appears to be written by me, but come to find out my mother wrote it....it's straight bs and I can't believe this is being done to me all just cause I reconciled and cancelled the divorce proceeding a with my current wife :( my family has finally driven me to the point where I will no longer communicate with them. They never accepted me for who I really am anyways 3 years ago when I first came out so I guess this is for the better anyways.

So when my lawyer called me to tell me what's going on, he mentioned "there are some other concerns they are worried about, if you know what I mean, from a few years ago" so I'm thinking he was referring to me being trans when I originally was going through everything....NC sucks so much and they are so anti anything, especially trans...I don't want to lose my son but I'm so worried as what to do and how to proceed :(

Court again is Thursday and me and the wife will be driving there and staying til the weekend sometime since I might get him for the 3 weeks I was supposed to this past Saturday...

So upset and no idea what I'm gonna do :( thankfully my wife is by my side thru everything even tho I feel bad for her and she shouldn't have to deal with all of this bs :(

HI Vicky,

I'm sorry I don't have any advice for you and doubt I have the experience to be of help. I'm responding because you are asking for help and to tell you that from what you wrote I'm not sure just what you need help with. Perhaps I'm just dense but all I can discern is that you have court proceedings with your EX possibly concern your son and apparently your mental state may be an issue being brought into the picture. To me it is all very vague. More onfo may be needed before someone can help you.

Hugs,
   Laurie

I am not sure if this is what you are after but you lawyer should make the point that your mental stability is improving with treatment. If you were fit to see your child before treatment, you are a better parent now. In addition, if there is no reason why you are unfit, you should be entitle to equal custody of your child. Last but not least, if you ex continues to harass you, possible she should no longer have primary custody of your child as her attitude could be harmful to your child.
